A few weeks ago I posted the Yellow Sally dry fly pattern. This has done really well for me! Another great pattern that I will fish throughout the summer and into early fall is the Stimulator and this Yellow Sally version puts a good twist on the traditional. With a hot spot on the back to call more attention from the fish you can find some great success with this fly in a Salmonfly hatch or on mountain streams in smaller versions of 12-16. It is easy to see in pocket water and wild trout tend to go crazy for these stimulator patterns. Tie some up and have some fun!
