I’m learning to embrace the seemingly mundane and see the beauty in the common. There are several things that I see everyday and it is easy to consider them as common and not see their beauty but more often we can find the simple beauty in the everyday.
I love how when these Red-winged Black Birds sing their feathers flair out and the red on their wings becomes more prominent.

I love skiing with my kids. This is so much fun. After only Skiing one day last season it has been exhilarating to get back on the slopes regularly ⛷️

Reading the book of Ezekiel and at the onset of his ministry he sees a great vision and then is given a roll, or scroll, and commanded to eat it.
We are commanded to consume the scriptures each day. Your consuming might be a verse or two to ponder through the day or a more in depth study of a chapter or book. Whatever it is, I hope that you make time to begin your day by consuming a roll from God.
There is so much that I gain through my study of the scriptures. God has blessed us with so much scripture and modern revelation. As we dive in as if we are consuming it we will be better prepared to face the challenges that come our way. We eat constantly and must do the same with our scripture study.

It seems like fall was too short. It passed by quickly but grateful for the moments to enjoy it.

“Daddy, that needs a picture” as my sweet Ella looks back at the temple and the last of the night’s sunset lingers above the mountains. I love this color but I love these moments with my baby girl more. How blessed we are to see God’s handiwork in the sky as well as in the lit eyes of our little ones. I thank God for His glorious creations that I get to enjoy each and every day.

How sacred is the name of Jesus Christ? His name is the power to act, the power to redeem, the power to heal, the power to progress, the power to overcome the world. As I do a little more study into what it means to act in His name or to take upon me His name, or to believe on His name, I see the real beauty that is the Messiah. I see how amidst my weakness I can become great through Him.

I love to travel but I always prefer to do it with my bride. Last w weekend we had the opportunity to get away to celebrate an amazing twenty years of marriage. I have the most amazing wife. I love spending time with her. I miss her when we are apart. I long for these moments together. Marriage is better now than it has ever been. Improves as it ages.
We loved our time at the beach and enjoying really good food. It was awesome to take in the full moon rising over the ocean at night. Blessed!!

The concept of kaphar has intrigued me more and more lately as I think about turning to the Lord and letting Him be my covering as He covered Adam and Eve verses their covering. Christ covers a multitude of sins. None of us are perfect but as we learn to trust more in Christ and come clean before Him he can cover our stain and cause us to become “white as wool”.
There is no greater feeling than being covered by Christ amidst my nakedness and imperfections. What a blessing!
