Many Go Unpublished

I have enjoyed reading biographies for many years now. They are a great way to gain insight into the lives of great individuals and what it is that made them do and accomplish great things. I am currently engrossed in another great work by Walter Isaacson, this time on Leonardo da Vinci. As well known as Leonardo is for the Mona Lisa, Last Supper, and Vitruvian Man, he was a forerunner in many other great discoveries, inventions and accomplishments.

Much of what Leonardo did failed to see the light of day until much later on. It was hundreds of years after his life that some of his greatest works were finally discovered. Much of what he had done either went unfinished, unknown or unpublished. I can certainly relate. I am nowhere comparable to the mind of Leonardo, but I know what it is like to create something and leave it unfinished.

I want to be a better writer. I want to publish more consistently here on my blog. When I write I find release and my thoughts are able to flow onto the page or the screen. It is meditational and medicinal. However, I have more drafts on my WordPress than I do published articles. I have written countless other articles and thoughts in journals and on Evernote that never see the light of day.

I am hoping that I can provide more consistent content and publish more of my articles. The more that I write the more I am able to learn. I enjoy creating things and pushing myself. Now to just bring these tasks to completion.

While reading the Sermon at the Temple in 3 Nephi, I noticed a key difference from the Sermon on the Mount as recorded in Matthew. The Nephite account uses the word all in several of the Saviors be attitudes. A seemingly small difference stood out as profound to me....
