I am going to start sharing my favorite fly pattern of the week on a weekly basis here on my blog.

This week I want to share one of my new favorite ways to tie a dry fly. I recently discovered this great way to tie dry flies from Johnny Utah. It is really simple and helps the flies to float lower in the water. The method is called hackle stacking, it is tied similar to a parachute, but then folded over to allow the hackle to bristle up, but not underneath the hook. Here is Johnny Utah tying an Adams dry fly pattern with the hackle stacker method.
