I have searched for ways to do the most simple and basic of tasks in my life that ought to be done daily with little success. I eat my meals, I go to sleep, I kiss my wife goodbye in the morning, I put my pants on before going to work, but there are many other small and simple things that I often struggle with. I am not the best at writing in my journal, reading regularly, especially scriptures, and like many, I don’t really floss that often.
Well, I found a cure for these failings. Thanks to the great Tim Ferriss, I found the app formerly known as Lift and now known as Coach.me. This app has seriously changed my life and my overall productivity. It has assisted me in accomplishing many small daily tasks that once were very forgotten or neglected on a regular basis.
Upon downloading this app I dabbled a little in adding a couple of tasks to accomplish. I didn’t really understand how to use the app and I let it sit on my phone for a couple of weeks before I actually started using it. Well, recently I added items like floss daily, take my vitamins, do yoga, meditate and more. I can say since doing this I am on an 8 day streak for flossing, brushing, prayer & meditation and reading. I have truly felt a boost in my productivity and health.
With Coach.me you can choose from predefined programs to reach a goal or gain a habit or you can join groups for other tasks or if there is something you want to do and it is not available you can create your own. Within a task you can set reminder times and weekly goals. You can also reach out and hire a coach if you are looking for additional support to achieve a goal or complete tasks. There is a growing network of individuals on the platform that you can provide support to through giving a “prop” or commenting on their accomplishment. You can also engage with others through asking and answering questions related to an item.
Coach.me helps to gamify my tasks, but also keeps me thinking about what I need to accomplish. It has certainly helped me to be more productive and I would encourage you to give it a try.
How do you be more productive? Do you have a helpful app?
